Petite Syrah: grown at ~2000ft in the Ramona Valley AVA between Old Julian Hwy and 78. Estimated yield is 1500lbs. Two blocks. Vines are 3rd leaf.
Block A tested on 8/28 (before the surprise rains on Saturday 8/30) at 21.3 Brix, pH of 3.0, est. 650 - 700lbs and harvest around 9/20.
Block B tested on 8/31 at 22.87 Brix, pH of 3.2, est 800lbs, and also harvest around 9/20.

Located between 78 and Old Julian Highway at almost 2000 ft elevation, Briggs-Childress Vineyard has their 2008 harvest for sale. Two different plots. Field A was tested 8/27 at 21.3 Brix, and should come in around 650-700lbs. Field B will be tested on Saturday 8/30, and will come in around 800lbs. Estimated harvest date is September 20th.
Vines are at 3rd leaf.

Briggs-Childress Vineyard just tested their Petite Syrah field A for Brix yesterday. Got a 21.3. Field B will be tested on Saturday. Estimate a total of 1500lbs for sale, and our current estimated harvest date is September 20th. Vines are 3rd leaf.
